I am blessed to be able to continue my 12x12 Gold Membership for the second year.
I am looking forward to all of the opportunities it will open up for me as a picture book author.

It’s super exciting to be at the next stage for LIBRARY GUARDIANS’ publication.
I’m currently working on creating jacket copy, all while my incredible editor is scouting potential illustrations and deciding which scenes will be illustrated.
Next, I will work on fleshing out the outline for Book #2. I can’t wait to announce the amazingly unique animal it will feature.
My OCD sure does love when a plan comes together!
📝 Monthly Writing Tip 📝
✨ 2025 Word of the Year ✨
Last month we talked a bit about how setting New Year’s resolutions traditionally come from a place of negativity—focusing on what DIDN’T get achieved in the previous year.
Instead, it’s much more efficient to set goals that BUILD on your past year’s achievements.
To do this, I looked at my 2024 successes and devised a word to focus my goals around for 2025.
This is my 6th year utilizing this method, and it truly works for me!
I can apply my chosen word in all aspects of my life, without the pressure of feeling like a failure if I have a bad day, week or month.
